Parallel | Night
This series of collages display solitary nights deep in nature that reflect back timelines beyond our awareness. Collaged from the earlier series City, Desert, Moon and Rain Triangles, these collages were created from ripped and cut pieces of prints and arranged into new mythical and wonder-filled landscapes. Using the textures of branches, coal, and rocks from my photogravures, I reuse these photo-based images and hand-drawn elements to build houses, caves, and natural habitats in my work. As we find these hidden landscapes in the darkness of the night, day lingers and exists simultaneously along its surface, revealing a parallel dimension.
